KECK INSTITUTE FOR SPACE STUDIES

This update is accurate as of: July 2, 2020

In accordance with the Caltech requirement to support social distancing measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 on Campus, the KISS staff is working remotely until further notice. Physical access to the Keck Center is not allowed until further notice.

While Caltech has had no instances of COVID-19 on campus, Caltech has had two positive cases: one family member of a graduate student who is living in Caltech-owned housing (since recovered) and one graduate student living in a private residence off campus (currently in self-isolation).

However, the situation continues to evolve rapidly. In keeping with the guidance and recommendations of Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Institute has implemented new policies around events and travel that are aimed at inhibiting the spread of infectious diseases, including COVID-19. Our goal is to protect the health and safety of the members of the Caltech community, and those who come here for our workshops.
