Symposium: DaMaSC IV - Beyond WIMP Dark Matter

August 30, 2017

Hameetman Auditorium
California Institute of Technology - Pasadena, CA 91125

The fourth edition of the DaMaSC (Dark Matter in Southern California) symposium will focus on dark matter beyond the WIMP paradigm. Motivated by intriguing hints from astrophysical observations and by the ever more restrictive bounds on WIMPs from direct detection experiments, now is an excellent time to consider alternatives to WIMP dark matter, from both observational and model building perspectives, and compare them with the standard WIMP picture. Our goal is to do this by bringing together Southern California's dark matter community for a day filled with reviews and lively discussions, hopefully fostering new collaborations and leading to exciting new ideas.

This symposium is sponsored by the Carnegie Observatories, the UCI Center for Cosmology and the Keck Institute for Space Studies.

Coffee breaks, lunch and a reception will be provided for all attendees.

This symposium is open to all interested faculty, researchers and students in the Southern California area (and beyond!).

Registration for this event closed on August 22, 2017
