Measurements and Models at the Surface of Mars

Monday, June 20, 2011
9:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. Short Course
Salvatori Seminar Room, South Mudd Building - California Institute of Technology

This short course will review the methods for measuring and modeling surface interactions on non-terrestrial environments. The focus will be on soil mechanics and terramechanics techniques for assessing robot mobility over unknown terrains. Engineers, scientists and students are encouraged to attend.

Speakers

  • Ray Arvidson – Washington University
  • Robert C.Anderson – JPL
  • Jose Andrade – Caltech
  • Karl Iagnemma – MIT
